This specialist certificate is designed to empower therapists and healthcare professionals with the proficiency needed to apply EMDR therapy efficiently and ethically in their clinical practice.
The course is offered in four modules. It is a hands-on course with opportunities for case sharing, discussions and practice time.

The Treatment of Psychological Trauma Endorsed by World Health Organisation (WHO)
Eye Movement, Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) stands out as a potent and highly efficient therapeutic modality for addressing challenging symptoms. It represents a comprehensive psychotherapeutic approach renowned for its swiftness and efficacy in managing a diverse spectrum of psychopathological conditions and issues pertaining to self-esteem.
Serving as a valuable tool in the therapist's arsenal, EMDR demonstrates remarkable effectiveness in alleviating conditions such as depression, anxiety, phobias, excessive grief, somatic ailments, and addictions. Its efficacy extends to both longstanding psychological disturbances and recent adverse experiences.
Endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), EMDR is recommended for the treatment of psychological trauma, underscoring its global recognition and acceptance within the professional community. Students engaging with EMDR training will delve into the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, a conceptual framework that underpins EMDR therapy. The AIP model offers insights into addressing unresolved memories that manifest as emotional dysregulation, maladaptive behaviours, and overall dissatisfaction.
