EMDR and Psychological Trauma Programme

(Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) 

Overview:

This course is designed for therapists and healthcare practitioners already familiar with psychological trauma and clinical hypnotherapists wishing to expand their practice. 

EMDR is easy to use, quick and effective. It provides exciting and powerful treatment of a wide range of presenting problems and patient issues. EMDR techniques are recommended by the World Health Organisation for treating psychological trauma, relationship breakdown, psychological pain, extreme anxiety and panic attacks, behavioural change and an entrenched psychological problems.

In this course, you’ll…

  • Learn the practical skills to be an effective EMDR practitioner.
  • Be able to identify symptoms and conditions which respond to EMDR therapy;
  • Acquire strategies to treat more complex trauma-related disorders;
  • Include strategies to deal with highly emotional responses;
  • Acquire resources to use with difficult or resistant clients.

Upon completion you will receive a UK accredited Certificate.

Entry requirement:

Healthcare professionals and therapists who are already familiar with trauma work 
Clinical Hypnotherapists who have already completed the Practitioner Diploma or Medical Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy Candidates.
 

Participants who do not have BSCH membership or formal qualification in health care are required to complete the Stabilisation for Psychology Trauma Module in order to obtain  Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).

Stabilisation for Psychology Trauma Module

This short course is designed to provide therapists with the tools and necessary understanding to provide stabilisation for patients or clients prior to starting work on the cause of their psychological trauma or emotional disturbance. Students who have already completed the Practitioner Diploma or Medical Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy are exempted from this module.

Ego States and Healing The Fractured Self

Overview:

This is a course designed for therapists and healthcare practitioners already familiar with psychological trauma and clinical hypnotherapists wishing to expand their practice. 

Ego State therapy is an advanced psychodynamic approach that you can use to treat a wide range of behavioural, cognitive, emotions and trauma based condition. It provides an effective method for emotional and physical abuse , survivors of sexual abuse , physical assault and emotional trauma.

  • Learn the effective skills to be an effective Ego States practitioner.
  • Be able to identify symptoms and conditions which respond to Ego State therapy.
  • Acquire strategies to treat emotional pain and psychological trauma.
  • Heal fractured or emotionally damaged clients

Addictive Behaviour & Psychological Pain (ABPP)

Overview:

This is a course designed for therapists and healthcare practitioners already familiar with psychological trauma and clinical hypnotherapists wishing to expand their practice and better help patients with psychological pain and addictive illness. 

The course provides a must-have tool kit for any therapist committed to working with 21st century problems.
