Dr Rumi Peynovska (UK)
Past President, Section of Hypnosis and Psychosomatic Medicine, Royal Society of Medicine has been involved in the research and practice of clinical hypnosis since 1992. She trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and is a member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and British Association of Medical Hypnosis.
Rumi was part of a team instrumental in setting up and running a Hypnotherapy Clinic in cancer care at Charing Cross Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in 2006. She also developed a brief hypnosis based paediatric programme for children diagnosed with functional bowel disorder hypermobility syndrome / Ehlers -Danlos Syndrome and chronic pain. Today Rumi is working on the development of e-Health platforms and evidence based e-Mental Training Programmes supporting self-care and encouraging people to take active part in their treatment.
Dr Alan Soh (Malaysia)
Past President, Malaysian Society of Clinical Hypnosis, Medical Director for the London College of Clinical Hypnosis Asia (LCCH Asia) and visiting consultant at University Malaya, Malaysia
Alan introduced clinical hypnotherapy as a protocol for managing intractable chronic pain to the orthopedic department and NOCERAL (national orthopedic centre of excellence research and learning) in 2010. He has also developed protocols for the use of clinical hypnosis as both a sole anaesthetic and as an adjunct with local anaesthetic. Alan has developed a programme in South East Asia together with LCCH Asia training pain specialists to incorporate clinical hypnosis into their work. He has also presented his work to the Ministry of Health, Malaysia and worked with the State Anaesthetic Team.
Alan has expanded his work to include dental protocols and established a protocol for cancer patients with University Malaya. Today Alan divides his time between teaching medical hypnosis and offering clinical hypnotherapy as a treatment option in his private practice.
